Hello again, I am Akhoury Pranjal Kumar better known as APK, a product designer currently interning at MakeMyTrip. I recently graduated from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela with a bachelor's in Industrial design.
Throughout my life, I have stayed in many different places and along my journey, I have met a lot of people from different regions, cultures and beliefs, and in this process, I have developed a certain empathy which really helps me in my design process. Along with this, I have gained a lot of interest in Design thinking, Human-computer interaction and psychology which I try to utilise in my design projects.
Currently, I am looking for a fulltime Product Design role.
I developed an interest in photography back in my school days when you could have seen me with a camera always with me lately, I just grab the camera when I get the time, I really love the world of micro photography, the details it holds just amaze me I also admire astrophotography as the infinite night sky lets me wonder into different dimensions
Living in more than 5 states had given me the exposure and opportunity to travel to many places and uncover a lot of experiences, I like to travel to offbeat places as the natural beauty is unmatchable and the stories of people living there make me appreciate the world even more.
I Joined GDSC at the end of my sophomore year and have ever since been involved in a lot of projects, in my pre-final year I became the design lead and have been managing a team of creative designers. My work here includes delivering the design of any and every product that we make, managing the design team and delivering design workshops.
I was one of the core members of HackNITR 4.0 which got more than 5000 registrations making it one of the largest student-run hackathons in India. I was responsible for managing the design team for various social media posters, sponsorship brochures, and event brochures and making the design of the website.
I was the core member of the design team and was responsible managing the design team and for designing the website of Innovision 2k22 which got 3.2 million hits and 3000 + registrations in a short span of time making it one of the largest tech-fest of eastern India
